Bruce Barton

Bruce Barton is the author of The Last Poems of the 20th Century (Wellstone Press, 2010). This book is a result of a men's group delving, a spiritual circle soaring and a poetry group pushing for the better part of the 1990s. During this time, he also co-authored the book A Path Through Stone: A Cycle of Poems.

The Book of Baruchio is a collected volume of his spiritual writing that includes original blessings, poems and prayers taken from the religious services he participated in or led since the mid-seventies in southern Oregon. Completion Before Perfection consists of poems written 2000-2010.

The once aspiring teacher and unconventional businessman has been writing "on the side" from the age of eight. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Los Angeles, California, he later passed on opportunities in those places to move with his wife and three sons to Ashland in 1974, in order to live an Oregon life.
