Emily Blakely

Enticement to write descriptive works of rural farm life, nestled below Sutherlin's Mt. Scott, led to Emily Blakely's affiliation with two local writings groups: An Association of Writers (AAW) and the Oregon State Poetry Association.

She has published a handmade Christmas collection of family writings, Fireside Reflections (2008) and in the following AAW anthologies, Inkstorm and Word Quilts, as well as in numerous holiday booklets. She has also displayed her work at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, restaurants, and libraries in the area, and contributed articles to Jefferson Public Radio's "As It Was" program.
