Margaret Chula

Margaret Chula has been writing and teaching haiku and Japanese poetic forms for more than thirty years. She has published six collections of poetry, most recently What Remains: Japanese Americans in Internment Camps, a collaboration with quilt artist Cathy Erickson. Living in Portland, she travels internationally to give talks and workshops. She is currently serving as President of the Tanka Society of America. In 2010, Friends of Chamber Music in Portland, Oregon appointed her their Poet Laureate to create original poems for each of their concerts. Visit her at www.margaretchula.com.
