Sue Fagalde Lick

Although Sue Fagalde Lick started writing poetry as a child, she earned her degree in journalism at San Jose State University and spent many years in the more practical business of being a newspaper reporter and editor. But the creative writer inside forced its way out. She moved from staff writer to freelancer and earned her MFA in creative writing at Antioch University, at age 51. Author of five books of prose, she has published her poetry, essays, and short stories in numerous literary magazines and anthologies. Her most recent book is a memoir called Shoes Full of Sand. She lives with her dog Annie in South Beach, Oregon. Visit her website at www.suelick.com.
