Phyllis Mannan, a former high school English teacher, lives with her husband in Manzanita on the north Oregon coast. She received an Oregon Literary Fellowship in Poetry and has had poems in Cloudbank: journal of contemporary writing, Fireweed: Poems of Western Oregon, The Oregonian, StringTown, Verseweavers:The Oregon State Poetry Association Anthology of Prize-winning Poems, and Willow Springs. A nonfiction story, "Pot Roast Coming around the Clock," appeared in A Cup of Comfort for Parents of Children with Autism and an essay, "The Echolalia of Literature," appeared in A Cup of Comfort for Writers.
