Richard Fjellman

Richard Fjellman was born in New York City. Moved to Connecticut, where he wrote occasional poems in school. At 21 he moved to Berkeley, CA where he witnessed the wilting of the "flower children". In 1976 he moved north to Ashland, OR where he rediscovered an interest in poetry. "Abandoned by Angels" and "Breath of Heaven" are both self-published and have been included in Rogue River Echoes, an anthology of the best writing generated at the annual 2006 Southwest Writers Conference in Gold Beach, OR. "Breath of Heaven" won a $1,000 prize from The Famous Poets Society Contest and was published 2004 in its annual anthology. His two self-published chap books Serious Moonlight and If it Ever Rains Again continue to languish in blissful obscurity.
